BMS 8951 Laboratory Rotation I
An important component of the students first-year training will be three rotations in the laboratories of selected graduate faculty. Each rotation will be 6 weeks, and limited coursework will occur during that time. This approach will also ensure that students become fully immersed in the research of their chosen laboratories. Each student will be assigned a small research project during the rotation, and will formally present results to the student body and graduate school faculty members. The goal of the laboratory rotations is for students to interact with scientists of varied disciplines and obtain in-depth views of the laboratories in which they may wish to pursue their research. It is an opportunity for the student and faculty to evaluate whether they have mutual interests that would aid in the students career development.
