Graduate School Spaces
The St. Jude Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences maintains a comprehensive network of academic, administrative, and student-centered spaces across the St. Jude campus. Purposefully designed to spark innovation, collaboration, and a vibrant scholarly community, these environments provide an ideal setting for students to learn, discover, and connect. Integrated within the institution’s distinguished research environment, students engage directly with advanced scientific initiatives and benefit from frequent opportunities to collaborate with world-renown faculty and state-of-the-art facilities.
The Graduate School’s primary academic and administrative hub is located on the first floor of the Marlo Thomas Center for Global Education & Collaboration, within the Kay Research & Care Center. This space houses Graduate School administrative offices and provides access to shared institutional resources including a large auditorium, lecture hall, conference and huddle rooms, and the Biomedical Library. The Marlo Thomas Center offers an innovative learning environment that encourages interaction among students, faculty, and staff, with flexible meeting spaces and technology‑enabled rooms that support teaching, seminars, and collaboration across institutions.
Dedicated instructional and study spaces for the Graduate School are located in the Inspiration4 Advanced Research Center (I4ARC). Built in 2021, this advanced facility includes a Graduate School classroom used for coursework, committee meetings, and special seminars, as well as a dedicated student study area that provides quiet space for individual learning and academic focus. Situated alongside active research programs, these spaces integrate graduate education directly into the St. Jude research enterprise.
Graduate students also have access to a student activity center located at the plaza level of the Danny Thomas Research Tower. This space is dedicated to student social activities, gatherings, and celebrations, supporting community‑building and student well‑being beyond the classroom and laboratory.
Together, these facilities reflect the Graduate School’s distributed presence across campus and its close integration with St. Jude’s mission. Modern classrooms, focused study areas, collaborative environments, and dedicated student spaces provide a comprehensive setting for graduate education and training, supporting discovery, innovation, and the development of future leaders in biomedical science.
